POSTOAK Lodge & Retreat

My daughter recently had her wedding weekend at Post Oak Lodge. We stayed at one of the big lodges for the weekend and had the wedding and reception in the main lodge on Saturday. It was amazing! Every single staff member we dealt with was very accommodating and friendly. They covered all the details. The catering staff was wonderful and the food was beyond our expectations. The grounds are so pretty. It truly couldn't have been a more perfect weekend, wedding, and reception.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to Stephanie for all she did to help me in the planning of the graduation party for our grandson. Stephanie made the process and the decision to host our family at Post Oak Lodge so easy! It was the perfect location. Her responsiveness and flexibility kept my stress to a minimum!! She absolutely went above and beyond. I also have to praise the staff. Wow! Talk about excellent customer service. They ALL went the extra mile from check in to checking out. I want to praise the dining staff as well. They were all so friendly and accommodating. That is a rare experience these days. Kudos to the chef! The food was hot, fresh and delicious. No one went away hungry or disappointed. We will definitely be back in the future.

My workplace just hosted a large event at Post Oak. The food was incredible! Our banquet captains and servers the night of the event were amazing! If those were the two determining factors, I would give Post Oak more than 5 stars. However, due to other numerous issues we cannot give 5 stars. The communication with our sales team was lacking. Our rep did not know answers to basic questions and kept having to run to get answers anytime we were at the location. We were double charged due to an issue with their system. We had to bring it to their attention and then it took a few days to get resolved. The AC broke the night before our event which took place on the hottest day of the summer and we were not informed of this. The sound system in the Evergreen room gave horrible feedback and static. Thankfully we brought our own for our musicians so we switched just a few speakers in and used our own for the entire event. There were a few other minor issues. I spoke with the sales manager a few days after our event and she was very defensive and also dismissive of our issues. I was not planning on leaving a review but her statement, “I sure hope you don’t talk bad about us,” caused me to leave a review. Everything pretty much boils down to an issue with communication from Post Oak. I am hoping that the feedback I provided to the sales manager and this review will allow the team at Post Oak to make some adjustments and improve for future events.
